The company was founded by Larry Popkin in 2008. Larry began his career in real estate in 1990 and co-founded a real estate company in 1993 with his uncle, which they sold in 2008, but remains a thriving business today. In addition to serving as the Popkin Real Estate’s principal broker, Larry is a practicing attorney with Campbell & Popkin, LLC. In Larry’s legal practice he specializes in transactional real estate, estate planning/probate and business law. As a lawyer, Larry represents numerous brokerage owners and brokers. His competitors trust him to support them and their interests. Larry’s skillset brings a unique and valuable expertise to Popkin Real Estate.

Larry has had the good fortune of working with his brother, Mark Popkin, since 1997, when Mark entered the real estate business. Mark experienced immediate success and has been a top-selling broker throughout his career. During the course of his career, Mark developed expertise in commercial real estate in addition to residential transactions. Mark is known for his creativity, personable nature and closing complicated transactions. Mark has partnered with Dave Koller to expand his abilities to serve their clients throughout Oregon and especially the Oregon coast. Mark and Dave focus most of their energy on commercial transactions and are well connected with other commercial brokers throughout Oregon.

In 2015, Larry Bensel joined Popkin Real Estate. Prior to moving to Oregon Larry B. was a selling broker and brokerage owner in Ventura, California for over 10 years and worked as a contractor. Larry B. is known for being a hard worker and results driven. Larry B. also uses his knowledge in construction to evaluate properties like no other broker is able. Larry B. works with both residential and commercial clients throughout Oregon and Washington.

In 2018, Popkin Real Estate opened an office in the state of Washington to expand our ability to provide the services requested by our clients.

In 2021 Greg Borger joined the team. Greg brings vast sales experience and works in the Portland Metro area with residential clients.
